However the sound is 50% lower than without the plugged in headphones.
Even if I try configuring the output device (which is listed as 'speaker/headphones') the sound comes through the speakers. I do have the same problem and your detailed solution does not help. NOTE: If you don't see the headphones listed, try right clicking on the empty space in that window and make sure that 'Show disabled devices' and 'Show disconnected devices' are both checked. Then click 'OK', again, on the main 'Sound window'. When you are done with your changes, in 'Properties', click 'Apply' and then 'OK'.Ĩ. Once that is complete, click the 'Properties' button.ħ.
